James Weishaar was born in Elmo, KS in 1926. He had just graduated High School when he entered the service in 1944. Fort Leavenworth was where he was sworn into the Army. Weishaar served in the Pacific seeing battle in Okinawa then finished his time in the service with the occupation forces in Korea. He left the war in 1946. Courtesy of fold3.com
